OUR MISSION
Founded in 2016, Barcelona Netball Club brings our love of the game to sunny Spain! We are both a social and competitive club with an amazing community of members of all levels from across the world. We’re here to build new friendships, grow our community and we value commitment towards our amazing club - whether that’s showing up consistently to training, supporting teammates or even washing the bibs!
Our Story
Founded in 2016 by a group of expats searching for a slice of home, our club was built on two things: a love for the game and a commitment to social inclusion.
Since netball isn’t widely played in Spain, our early days were pure DIY. Before we finally scored professional posts and equipment just before the pandemic, we spent our afternoons at Arc de Triomf, making do with basketballs and hoops!
The Turning Point
2021 marked a new chapter for us. We established our first official committee and rapidly expanded our training schedule to include Saturday sessions. We also hit the road for our first official tournaments, competing in Madrid, Lloret de Mar, and Marbella.
In 2022, we added a new session and never looked back. Since then, we've been training three times a week, including our newest sessions in Barceloneta. Whether someone was a seasoned pro or hadn't picked up a ball since school, there was always a place for them on our court.

We are incredibly proud to be founding members of the Asociación de Netball España the organisation dedicated to promoting and regulating the sport across the country.
Through A.N.E., we are officially part of the Developing Countries Programme within Europe Netball, helping to foster competition and teamwork for players and clubs nationwide.
